We did it! Thank you so much for the support you gave in making Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle a reality. It’s been a really exciting campaign! Let’s recap:
Nearly 1,000 of you will get your hands on Kings and Queens this year, and almost all of you added Concrete Jungle! We’re so excited that you are excited about that one too!
We added wooden screen printed $10 Tip Tokens and as a surprise gift, Available Dog Marker tokens for all backers of Kings and Queens!
We added blank DIY Bark Avenue cards to Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle, along with a digital layered + Canva option for printing your own!
We had all sorts of lovely content come out mid-campaign, including reviews and playthroughs (one by us, too!) - make sure to check them out if you’re still excited to see more!
A bunch of you are getting cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, and more featured in Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle. We’ll be sending out surveys tonight, we’re on the road (well, the air ✈️) today!
For the first time, we were able to offer shipping to Asia! Thank you so much to each and every one of our Asian backers. We hope you enjoy Bark Avenue!
We’ll be in touch over the next couple of weeks with major updates, but for now, finishing up the art and making a couple of balancing tweaks based on some recent 5-player games are our top priority. We’ll be in touch soon!
All the best,
Mackenzie, Jonathan, and Emma 🐶
$50k Surprise Gift for Kickstarter Backers!

We reached $50,000, and we have a gift for you!
Hooray, we've reached $50,000 in funding! We're so grateful for each and every one of you who have supported Bark Avenue and made it Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle a reality. As a celebration, we'd like to give you a gift. An optional component we always discussed were "available dog markers" that told you where dogs were available. We ultimately didn't include these as a means of streamlining because you have to move the marker to the new location when competition rounds discard dogs or players pick up dogs. But we have certainly seen some demand for them!
Included with every Kickstarter backed copy of Kings and Queens (all tiers with rewards) will be 6 Available Dog Markers (wooden, screen printed). These will not be included with pre-orders made after the campaign in BackerKit or beyond, where we will be offering them for a price as an add-on.
With 7 hours to go, we hope those of you on the fence decide to take the plunge and back Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens now! Thank you all so much for your support!!
All the best,
Mackenzie and Jonathan

The Final Countdown
Hey dog walkers!
Just over 48 hours left to back Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens! This expansion adds all sorts of fun new ways to enjoy Bark Avenue - from player interaction and asymmetric abilities to 30 new dogs and 27 new animals like lizards, cats, and hamsters! We sincerely hope this enhances your plays of Bark Avenue and helps you enjoy the game even more.
New Kickstarter+ Exclusives
We've officially confirmed that wooden deluxe versions of $10 tip tokens added in the expansion will be included for free with every Kickstarter copy of Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens. The only ways to get these tokens will be on Kickstarter, BackerKit, shop.terredicegames.com, and at conventions (e.g. Gen Con, PAX Unplugged). Back now to make sure you are able to get your hands on these deluxe tokens!
DIY Pet Cards!
We're also thrilled to announce that we're including several blank DIY pet cards in Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle! Paint or print on your own pets into Bark Avenue, or use our Canva Template and layered transparent PNGs to create your own Bark Avenue cards - where you can print them professionally at places like The Game Crafter! We'll provide an online guide on how to create your own DIY Bark Avenue cards.
Calling all Reptile and Bird Owners!
Interested in having your animal illustrated by the amazing April Borchelt, the artist for Bark Avenue? We still have a few slots open for you to get your animal featured in every copy of Bark Avenue: Concrete Jungle. We'd be thrilled to feature your lovable pet in Bark Avenue forever! Just make sure the animal is legal in the state and city of New York so we can keep the game thematic. Back now on the Kings and Queens Kickstarter Campaign!
Watch Us Play Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens
We also wanted to share that we've done a 3-player playthrough with the designers (Mackenzie and Jonathan Jungck and solo designer Jacqueline Atkins Verges)! We hope you'll check it out if you're on the fence or wanted to learn more!
Thank You
We're so happy to be able to make these expansions a reality. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have. Thank you for your support in helping make Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle!

Kickstarter/TerreDice Exclusive, and DIY Pet Cards, and a Very Merry Birthday

Hey Fellow Dog Walkers!
We're in the final stretch of the campaign for Kings and Queens and Concrete Jungle, and we have a few exciting updates!
Wooden $10 Tip Tokens are Exclusive
We are happy to confirm that we'll be able to provide wooden $10 tip tokens with Bark Avenue: Kings and Queens! These will be provided as a bonus goodie bag outside of the Kings and Queens box. In the box will be cardboard $10 tip tokens, which will be fully in line with the retail edition/standard tokens for Bark Avenue and the first printing of Bark Avenue: Deluxe Edition.
The only way to get these wooden tokens are to (1) back the Kickstarter, (2) purchase direct from shop.terredicegames.com, or (3) from conventions such as Gen Con and PAX Unplugged. We feel this will provide the most consistent experience for the most players given if you just picked up Bark Avenue at retail all of your other components would be cardboard!
DIY Pet Cards!
We're happy to add clarity to the update that we will be providing two ways to DIY your lovable pets into Bark Avenue! The first will be light-colored blank cards on which you can alter/paint/glue to your heart's content your pups, lizards, ferrets, or whatever else you want to play with in Bark Avenue. The second is an interactive multi-layered Canva template (and PNG + PSD, for Photoshop users) to print yourself professionally from local printers like The Game Crafter! We've updated the page and included the new section below.
We are looking for feedback on how many of these cards you feel would be reasonable/interesting to have and what other details you need about the cards (dimensions, thickness, texture, etc). Please let us know in the comments!
Happy Birthday, Emma!
Lastly, it's our dog Emma's 5th birthday today! She's the pup that started it all and got us on this wild journey to making a game centered around showcasing the lives of dogs like hers! Please join us in wishing Emma a happy birthday! :)
All the best,
Mackenzie, Jonathan, and Emma

Hey fellow dog walkers!
We've had an incredible first couple of days. We are overwhelmed with your support and so happy to hear that so many of you are excited about the experience we've created in Bark Avenue!
We truly believe Kings and Queens expands that ambition while tuning and improving pacing and interaction to give you a better experience. We're also thrilled that the majority of you have added Concrete Jungle - this was such a wild idea that we had early on - you can't imagine how many playtesters asked "when can I walk cats?" - or true New Yorkers, who would say "when can I walk my turtle?", or other weird animals. We've seen it all here - and to put it in Bark Avenue truly makes this game a unique love letter to this jungle of a city.
P.S. - did you catch us on the home page of BGG yesterday? Mackenzie Jungck, co-designer of Bark Avenue (my incredible wife, as this is Jonathan drafting this update) posted a Designer Diary for Bark Avenue! Here she shared the incredible story behind the genesis of this game and the struggles and challenges we had along the way.
We hope you'll take a moment to read it, give it a like, and help us maintain the momentum we've had thus far!
Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping this labor of love come to life. We can't wait for you all to play more Bark Avenue.
